YOUNG WORLD is a Non-Profit Organization. Since 2000 we have been avtively involved in Education, Housing & Feeding Schemes to help street people, young and old. We dream of a drop-in mid- City shelter where they can get food at the soup kitchen, shelter on cold and rainy days, medicine for common ailments -norishment for body, spirit and soul.

You can not teach a child, high on any chemical substance, anything. To educate them, we need them in a place where they feel safe, protected, cared for and loved. They need a place of their own, a place they can call 'Home'.

training
The programs we plan includes: Computer Skills, farming, business skills, construction, woodwork and handyman skills, arts and crafts or simply just building on what they already know. A Farm is ideal to move those to who want to permanently change their lives, better their circumstances, and become fully fledged members of society. We will teach them, train them and show them what God intended for them, before we bring them back to the City either as Employees or Employers.

Busy parents have not the time for their children. During school holidays, most parents have no idea where there children hang out, while they are at work. Kids drift in malls all day, experiment with drugs, alcohol and hang out with the wrong crowd, they are bored with the City. Animals has always worked magic on kids of all ages. A farm, away from city temptations, is also the solution for wealthy parents with bored kids.

HOLIDAY FARM. Wishful parents sometimes dream of owning a Country Farm, free from the confinements of city living. Some can afford to buy the farm, but do not have the luxury of time to enjoy simple living. School holidays in fresh air, while doing what kids did so many years ago is the solution. A Farm holiday, with real animals to care for, rivers, mountains or woods to explore, corn fields and a farm dam, is more fun than most city children have ever experienced. Going back to basics is what we are about ‘Donors & Sponsors become Owners. This Agricultural Project gives City People an opportunity to own a share and have a ‘say’ on the day to day runnings of The Farm. Facilities will be suitable for able-bodied and disabled children & adults but spcifically cater for city school children to experience aspects of farm life.

YOUNG MUMS . There must be a place where pregnant teeangers without a support structure can go to. Those who want to keep their babies but have no means to care for them, should be taken in with child and follow a care program of atleast 2-5 years, under the supervision of a Christian House Mother, to teach the young girl the ropes in child rearing and give support when needed. A young mother who gives up her baby because she has to but doesn't want to, is bound to fall pregnant again, the very next year, and this time, she makes sure she escapes the Social Services, then, yet another girl falls through the care system and another baby has no future.

HIV/AIDS. There are children on our streets, living there, with no idea that they are HIV positive. Testing should not be a voluntary thing anymore. Anyone who does not know they are ill, can not receive treatment, therefor their life expectancy - while living on the streets - is less than ten years. Currently, with treatment, they can live 35 years longer than expected.

OUR VISION. is not to ever beg but to implement a plan to assist children and the street people we care for on a daily basis, a plan that will be finacially viable and mutaully beneficial to Businesses, Donors & Sponsors.
This, now, is what the Soveeign Lord says: "I am placing in Zion a foundation that is firm and strong. In it I am putting a solid corner stone on which are written the words: "Faith that is firm, is also patient" Justice will be the measuring line for the foundation, and honesty will be its plumbline"
