YOUNG WORLD EDUCARE is a non-profit organization and BEAUTIFUL VOICES is a 2008 fundraising event.
South Africa loves music, IDOLS and The popular show hosted by Patricia Lewis, SUPERSTERRE, is proof of this. What we wanted to know – is Opera music popular? The original thought was no, perhaps not, but Natasha a British soprano, was newly signed to EMI, Nina Stemme also signed an exclusive deal with EMI, South African Tenors Johan Botha and Jannie Moolman made headlines recently and then came the death of Pavarotti -and the World went crazy! That sad note was a positive sign that we needed to go ahead with the project. Opera music is still a joyful activity for all people and does have a future, in South Africa as everywhere else.
Music Teachers, we need your help to prepare young performers to sing with strong confidence and grace. You can bring incredible Opera Music to South Africa Enjoy wonderful prices and unique privileges. |

Johan Botha, our very own wellknown South African Tenor, said: "There is such a lot of talent in this country, it just has to be developed. We have to speak to the Government, The Minister, training our black singers should become important, to enable them to perform all over the World according the the gifts they received. We have such a lot to offer the world, but talent alone is not enough." See original articlen
And took to heart words of: Placido Domingo: "...if children would learn about opera from an early age, many of them will be open to it and want to know more. They will grow up appreciating opera..." He went on to say "... you can't really blame the parents for not taking their children to the opera, if they grew up with rock 'n' roll themselves. It's a matter of education. It's a matter of breaking this chain and beginning to develop familiarity with opera in the next generations as early as possible." (Classical Singer Magazine)
