I have amazing kids.  They have been slapped without reason, kicked and beaten in frustration, threatened with death and even humiliated in public.  They fight for their rights and have learned the necessary survival skills, they are spiritually wize and mature beyond their years. They put up daily with their belongings being used, broken or stolen, their clothes get worn, torn even sold.  They see the effects that dope and sniffing glue, drugs and alcohol has on children, and they live with the devastating results.

They shared everything, sweets, beds, toys, food…even their mother, with streetkids.  Not once have they blamed me, or asked me “why”?  Having to share everything, my children have learned at an early age than humanity and kindness is rewarded by the Lord. They accept me as I am, eventhough I have put them through misery, pain and discomfort. They and I have a God given opportunity to climb the stairway to heaven. GOD blessed me, for each of them are special in their own way, and I love them more than even they themselves know. This then a tribute to you, my four babies. I thank God for you.  Mommy loves you.

 At times, when in doubt and I cursed this very blessed load of taking care of streetkids, or when family and friends warned me for bringing my children up in such circumstances, I found conformation in a very old book:  James 1:27 “What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: "To take care of orphans and widows in their suffering and to keep oneself from being corrupted by the world.”
