In the BEELD it was reported that the street children, have found a home. They were sheltered in the Methodist Church hall in Sunnyside. Icy cold and rainy weather forced them to seek shelter. The church could not house them indefinitely. Shelters in Pretoria were unable to take inanymore people and finally they found space at the Jacaranda children's Home, where it was said they will stay untill they could be permanently moved. Yet two days after this article, 16 of the children were jailed in a desperate attempt to keep them sheltered.
